About Us 
   The NJ Middlesex Vikings are a non-profit minor league football organization composed of young men guided in their efforts to foster a sense of community and brother hood while promoting the game of football globally amongst all ages and cultures.
  The Vikings recognize that the fans are our most important asset and pledge their unwwavering commitment to continuosly the very best in minor league athletic competition.
   There can be no greater legacy for this organization than the creation of opportunities for young people to grow mature and become better citizens of this great country through participation in athletic competition.
   As a Viking you are expected to participate in games that are public events and therefore; at all times respect our surrounds. We will compete at the higest level while striving to enhance oursleves and at the same time promote and support the Big North East Football Federation.
   The New Jersey Middlesex Vikings were founded in 2008. The majority of our players were a part of another Minor League Football Team in 2007. The development of this team will be based on accountability and diligence starting from coaches and front office officials to the players.
   We are devoted to serving our community while encouraging brotherhood and sportsmanship among our players as well as opponents on and off the playing field. One yard at a time, one game at a time, & one CHAMPIONSHIP at a time!!
Viking History (The Inauguration) 4-4-2 (0-1):
   The first NJ Middlesex Viking game took place in Old Bridge, NJ vs. the New Jersey Lions of the RAFL. This was a scrimmage which ended in a tie and began the journey of the Vikings.
9/7/08-(GARDEN STATE BOWL #1)  NJ Middlesex Vikings vs the NJ Cynder. The Vikings came out prepared and looking for an identity. Vikings entered the 4th Quarter down 8-6 in a strong defensive game for both squads. Late in the 4th quarter a muffed punt turns into a disaster which hands the Cynder the ball on the Viking 2 yard line. The rest was history. Final Score: Cynder 14 Vikings 6
9/13/08- The first *HOME* game of 2008 was vs the New York Spartans who later became the 2008 BNEFF Runner-ups. This game took place in Bronx, NY at the Spartans home field; however, the Vikings were the designated home team. This game was one for the ages which went back and forth only to end with a double reverse bomb with 21 seconds left in the 4th Quarter that handed the Vikings their second defeat of the year. Final Score: Spartans 28 Vikings 22
10/12/08- The Vikings made history by recording their 1st Win and 1st Defensive Shut Out in the 2008 inaugural season in Game 6 vs the South Philly Ravens in Montclair, NJ. The final score was Vkings 6 Ravens 2. The 2 points allowed was in result of a strategic safety at the end of the game to ensure the victory.
10/26/08- Not long after, the Vikings did it again in Game 8 with a 21-0 Shut Out of the BNEFF's 2007 Runner-up, the New York State Broncos.
11/9/08- Vikings entered this week holding a 5 week period without a loss(3-0-2). This may of been the strongest game the Vikings played all year. The North West Philly Giants entered the game undefeated and the Vikings took the game to the wire. The game ended with a controversial fumble during the last drive of the game for the Vikings on the Giants' 3 yard line with 48 seconds left in the 4th Quarter. The giants knelt their way to safety with a final score of 15-8. The NW Philly Giants ended the 2008 season 12-0 as the BNEFF Champions and ranked 9th in the National Football Events Coaches Poll for the North East and 47th in the Minor League Football New National Rankings (Summer/ Fall League).
11/30/08- The Vikings concluded the 2008 Inaugural season with a playoff birth. The Wild Card game ended another double reverse which gave the Tacony Eagles the lead 8-6 and the win; which doomed the Vikings Journey towards the Championship.
Defense Wins Championships!!! In the 2008 inaugural season, the NJ Middlesex Vikings allowed 15 or less points  in 8 of 11 games played. In 6 of those 8 games the defense only allowed 8 points or less. The most points allowed in a single game was in the shoot-out between the NY Spartans which ended 28-22.
THE VIKINGS also had 8 ALL STAR SELECTIONS IN 2008!!

Year Two (Strong start but tough ending) 2-6-1
The Middlesex Vikings started the 2009 season off strong with a 2-0 record; recording a shut out win in their 1st game of the season and getting their second victory by way of a forfeit. After this strong start the Vikings dropped their next six games which were all battles and ended the season in a tie which cost them a playoff spot.
8/30/09- Middlesex Vikngs vs Levittown Warriors. Vikings open season with a 14 to 0 win over the Levittown Warriors in Bristol, Pa.  Vikings capped the opening drive with a 31 yd touchdown strike from 2nd year quarterback, Patrick Chedda to rookie reciever Woodley Johnson (2pt conversion reception by (RB) Kweku Lynchwood).  The Viking defense gave up very few yards and dominated the Warrior offense.  Eric Golano (S) and Cory Curtis (LB) both recorded inteceptions that were accompanied by heavy pressure by the defensive front.  Deveron Noble (DT), Nick Peroune (DT), and Jerome Smith (DE) each recorded a sack for the Vikings.  The game was put away with a 39 yd touchdown pass to verteran receiver, TJ Brown from Patrick Chedda.  Anttwan Reid picked his way through the Warrior defense and amassed 125 total yards.  *The game was stopped mid 3rd Quarter due to Levittown Warrior technical difficulties*
 
9/13/09- Vikings (2-0) record 2nd Win with a forfiet by the NJ Wolverines.
The following weeks after this strong 2-0 start all tough battles which the Vikings were just on the short end of all these games. Now in 2010 the Middlesex Vikings are recruiting new players and looking to come out this year with a bang!!
